Sharing knowledge – raising the level of urological care

The EAU represents the leading authority within Europe on urological practice, research and education. Over 16,000 medical professionals have joined its ranks and contribute to our mission: To raise the level of urological care throughout Europe and beyond.

Its roots trace back to the early 1970s, when the EAU was established as a society to unite and support European urologists. Since then, the association has grown considerably and now has some 16,000 members from all around the world. Find out more about the history of our Association here.

The EAU is led by an elected executive committee, currently under Secretary General Prof. C.R. Chapple (GB). The committee is supported by a board, various advisory bodies and offices, as well as a central office, based in Arnhem, The Netherlands.
